That was a beautiful move overall from Arsenal. Martinelli gives Arsenal the lead with a lovely finish! The Brazilian races onto Lacazette's throughball from deep and slots calmly into the bottom right corner. Saka blazes over from out wide. No changes at half-time.
Arsenal had nine shots to West Ham's three in the opening 45 minutes and were warmly applauded off at half-time. The Gunners have been the better side so far, but they'll know the threat West Ham pose on the break.
If they're not careful Moyes' men can claim another scalp as they did against Chelsea and Liverpool. We haven't had a goal here yet but we surely will eventually.
Arsenal have come the closest to scoring, most notably through Tierney's volley which Fabianski had to push onto the woodwork, but West Ham have had their moments. More of this to come! It's been great fun so far. Fabianski dives low to stop Lacazette's scooped shot. The save lands to Martinelli. Dawson does just enough to make the Brazilian fire wide from less than six yards out. They can't counter though as Martinelli wins the ball straight back. Tomiyasu tries to find the Brazilian again but is unsuccessful.
Saka floats a cross inside for Partey who tries to strike it on the volley. Again, West Ham's defenders are in the right place to block. Saka drives inside and plays a one-two to find Xhaka in the centre of the box.
West Ham desperately block. Tierney blasts the ball towards the top left corner and Fabianski makes a brilliant stop to tip the shot onto the crossbar.
The hosts eventually get a corner. The momentum is with them. Coufal flings a cross into the box from the right and Tomiyasu heads the ball out as far as Fornals. The Spaniard waits for the arrival of Masuaku whose shot is never on target. West Ham rebuild. Tierney blocks Bowen's cross near the byline, doing well not to concede a corner. The free-kick's fizzed in and Arsenal win the first header. Fornals bends a shot back towards goal from the left of the box. It whistles just wide of the right-hand post.
Lacazette is surprised to concede a free-kick by catching the Czech midfielder. The Arsenal winger darts forward 20 or 30 yards before passing back to Tomiyasu. Tomiyasu's triangular ball towards the byline rolls harmlessly out of play. The Norwegian tries to thread the ball back through to his teammate who doesn't expect the return. Fabianski races off his line to get there first. He lays off to Tomiyasu whose cross towards Lazacette is intercepted.
Arsenal attack once more and Odegaard gently pops the ball off to Lacazette in the box. Lacazette and Dawson collide, inspiring another unsuccessful penalty appeal from Arsenal. It's the right decision. Fornals is still nursing his calf after taking an accidental kick from Partey. Masuaku steams in and catches the England man just as he strikes the ball.
