So after some googling I found out that if you have a spare wireless modem lying around you can use it to either create a bridge connection or use the spare modem as an access point. The idea being that the spare modem would then reside by the TV and connect to the Belkin Modem and then I would plug the ethernet cables into the Popcorn hour and Onkyo. Great idea right?
Well for the life of me I cannot get either the SMC or Telkom modem to work as either a bridge connection or access point for the Belkin modem. Is there anyone who can help me figure this out. I am currently trying to determine if the Telkom modem WDS repeater function could actually repeat the signal. Oh and I am willing to use any combination of modems. Thanks for you help in advance.

Look in the manual to see how this can be done dd Flekus you can also put the router in bridged mode and dial up from windows. This should help with any ports that are blocked Again look in the manual.
Thanks Bullfrog Fiekus, please tell me how you connect so I can atleast make a connection. Ok it seems that you are new at this and haven't got a connection the internet through dsl as of yet. Ok so you have 2 choices. You either put your router in bridged mode or pppoe mode. In bridged your windows machine connects to the internet through the router and in pppoe the router connects to the internet. It is important to setup a static ip address in the device that you are forwarding a port to.
This ensures that your ports will remain open even after your device reboots. Your router has a web interface, so you will login to it using your web browser. It usually does not matter which browser you choose to use. Open up your web browser and find the address bar.
It should look something like this:. Above is an example of what a web browser address bar looks like. Find the address bar in your router and type in your router's IP address.
After entering the IP address of your router you can simply press enter. If all goes well you will see the following screen:. Now we need to find the port forwarding section in your router. Here's how you do it. Starting from the first page in your router:.
