Yes you are right. Safe to say it is a lost cause getting this game to run within Vista? It's okay; but being primarily a gamer, I don't see the advantage of Vista, except to be cool and up-to- date.

Alan " I originally planned on moving forward with Vista. Once XP is no longer supported things will eventually change. However yes I use mostly XP at home however Vista is now used for those tech support calls coming in from friends, associates,etc. I simply installed it from the CD, applied the official patch, and it worked right away. The only driver issue I have ever encountered with Vista is with a 5-year old Canon scanner - there is no bit driver available. New scanners work fine, and most importantly for NR, the steering wheel works fine.
